Workshops

The UPG Team deliver workshops in authentic French Parkour, & we are the ONLY company to teach performance-parkour: the use of Parkour's principles in the creation of site specific and site responsive choreographies featuring dance at speed and height.

Our shows are always proceeded by or followed with workshops in which audience members move from the role of witness to the role of actor in a spontaneous drama. We teach ages 10+ (83 currently our eldest) We can deliver female only, over 50's, inclusive and other bespoke workshops.

Workshops can be delivered alone and in long term residencies and we have lead our award winning "micro-choreographies" workshops for clients including the Dublin Fringe Festival, The National Theatre, Newcastle Gateshead's Juice Festival for Children and Young People, Architecture for Everyone at the Stephen Lawrence Centre, and at Serbia's INFANT FESTIVAL.

Our workshop leaders each have over 10 years professional experience of teaching within schools, colleges and performance contexts. We carry full insurance, CRB certificates and are trained in first aid and child protection procedures. We work for countless schools and in association with Brighton & Hove Council, the B&H School Sports Partnership, Crawley Borough Council, Adur District Council, Rugby Town Council and various Kent authorities.

“A dazzling display of rapid vaults, synchronised tumbles and gravity-defying spins... performers alternated between show-off virtuosity and the unexpected stateliness of dancers at a barre” The Irish Times
